Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Design team on a full-time basis in Melbourne . You will be working with the Civil Design team to deliver multidisciplinary projects for an array of local, national and international clients.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
Project managing and coordinatiing, budgeting and quality control for civil design projects and similar assignments;
Managing and liaising with clients regarding project delivery as well as building and maintaining strong client relationships;
Ensuring technical delivery of projects, incorporating team building, resourcing, financial and risk management as well as quality management;
Delivering to successful project completion of projects by providing technical expertise and supporting the team regarding project time and quality objectives;
Planning, developing schedules, coordinating and mentoring individuals on important engineering projects to meet completion deadlines;
Preparing and delivering high quality proposals, reports, documents and other deliverables for clients;
Supervising, coordinating and reviewing/evaluating activities carried out by junior staff members;
Participating in training activities, mentoring and transferring knowledge to junior staff members; and
Providing safety leadership in identifying and alleviating/eliminating high priority safety hazards.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent, ideally with a post graduate degree, and the ability to gain Chartered Professional Engineer status;
Proven track record and interest in project management, delivery, design development, documentation and engaging with project stakeholders;
Significant experience with civil design and environmental engineering projects;
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong communication and influencing skills to enable delivery of client focused services to a diverse group of professionals;
Professional with high attention to detail, self-motivated and with initiative to integrate into projects built with a team of professionals; and
Ability to develop client relationships, engage with clients directly.
