Golder Associates Store Person in Richmond, Australia

Golder has a new casual opportunity (full-time or part-time hours) for an enthusiastic Store Person. You will be based in our warehouse and on occasions you will be involved assisting in laboratory testing.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Receiving and dispatching deliveries

  • Assessing / Managing the current state of the Warehouse

  • Organising delivery runs to job sites

  • Provide support with the shipping, receiving, logging,handling, storage and disposal of samples.

  • Forklift operation

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

  • General warehouse duties

  • Display a safety-first attitude and always be conscious ofhealth and safety

  • Identify and report hazards, near misses and incidents in theHSE Learnings Database

  • Actively raise HSE issues with peers, contractors andvisitors and assist in seeking resolution for identified issues

  • Actively eliminate and control hazards related to routine andnon-routine tasks daily using the hazard control hierarchy

Skills, Qualifications, andExperience

  • Previous experience in warehousing (highly desirable) &hold a drivers and/or a forklift license (not essential)

  • Organized, efficient and with attention to detail

  • Have a sense of urgency and an ability to work to deadlines

  • Have great communication skills

  • Be able to work independently, be proactive and motivated

  • Be process orientated

  • Flexibility and preparedness to take on a wide variety oftasks

  • Be physically fit as some heaving lifting is required
