Golder has a new opportunity for an experienced EHS Compliance and Management Specialist in Richmond, VA, to serve our industrial clients.

This individual will provide technical support on a variety of EHS compliance projects including, but not limited to:

  • Serving as temporaryon-site EHS representatives for our industrial clients

  • Conducting fieldassignments, such as performing EHS compliance audits, assisting with programimplementation, conducting training, chemical inventory assessments, job hazardassessments and similar assignments;

  • Developing programsand conducting assessments to support clients’ ISO 14001/45001 and OHSAS 18001EHS management systems;

  • EHS complianceprogram support for industrial clients including developing procedures andpermits, preparing and submitting periodic regulatory reports, and preparingEHS training programs;

  • Preparing technicalreports, including documentation of audits and field investigative procedures,data management and interpretation, and development of graphical and tabularpresentation of data.

  • Experience conductingEHS due diligence assessments.

This position requires travel to and work at client sites for information gathering and client meetings. This individual should expect to spend approximately 50% of their work time at client sites in Virginia and throughout the United States; each individual trip generally lasts 2 to 5 days for this position. This individual should be able to conduct visual inspections at industrial facilities, including climbing ladders and walking up stairs.

The individual will gain increasing responsibility for project and proposal management through training provided by Golder and will work closely with other senior EHS compliance and management practitioners and project managers to grow our service area. Interacting with clients and regulators to meet task and budget requirements is a key to success in this position.

The successful candidatewill have a background in:

  • Minimum of 20 yearsof related experience

  • Bachelor's Degree(Master’s preferred) in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering,Safety Engineering, or similar scientific discipline

  • Knowledge of andexperience with reviewing and applying Federal, state, and local EHSregulations

  • Experience developingand auditing EHS programs in industrial settings preferred

  • Experience with EHSmanagement systems, ISO 14001/45001, and OHSAS 18001; formal auditor trainingis preferred

  • Consulting experienceincluding proposal writing, project management, and business developmentis required.

  • Excellent written andverbal communication skills

  • Proficiency withMicrosoft Office products and web-based applications
