Golder has a new opportunity for a Civil Engineering Intern for our Roseville, California office to provide support in civil, solid waste, land development and environmental projects starting in January 2020.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Assisting in the planning, design, and implementation of civil and environmental engineering projects relating to waste management, stormwater collection and treatment, environmental restoration and remediation, and other specialty projects.
Assisting with the preparation of design drawings, regulatory permit documents, and technical specifications specifically related to containment systems, stormwater and surface water, erosion and sediment control, and other construction related permits;
The successful candidate will have a background in:
Position is for between 8 and 20 hours a week depending on class schedule. Candidate must be able to commit to a consistent weekly schedule throughout the semester/quarter.
Candidates should be currently pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental or Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline at either California State University, Sacramento or University of California, Davis;
The candidate shall have excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a positive attitude and ability to work both independently and in groups;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
Candidate must be eligible to work in the US and possess a valid US driver’s licens r at https://vimeo.com/252065645 video.
0 – 3 years of experience in an engineering-related field.
Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD preferred;
Geoenvironmental engineering or landfill design coursework is valuable;
A willingness to perform a variety of assignments on short notice is valuable
