Golder Associates Inc. seeks a Mid-Levelto Senior Civil Engineer for its Irvine, California office.

This Civil Engineer role is integral to the development for our Irvine, California office. In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of an expanding engineering practice within a multi-disciplinary team working on exciting and challenging civil, environmental, mining, and infrastructure projects throughout Southern California.

The primary focus for the Mid-Level to Senior Civil Engineer, will be to deliver high-quality projects to our clients in a timely manner and within an agreed budget through the efficient utilization of internal and external resources. This requires technical leading, mentoring, and developing junior and intermediate staff. In addition, the successful candidate will manage and develop existing client relationships and project opportunities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities willinclude:

  • Leadershipof project teams who successfully deliver technically excellent projectssafely, on time, within budget; and to the clients’ and Golder’sstandards.

  • Abroad range of civil engineering analyses and reporting for projects thatmay incorporate multiple disciplines including geotechnical engineering,hydrology, environmental assessment or remediation, water supply,wastewater treatment, or permitting.

  • Preparationof reports, studies, and construction documents for review by senior staffand submittal to clients and regulatory agencies.

  • Providingconstruction management or construction quality assurance services, andsupervising technicians and field staff

  • Executionand supervision of environmental monitoring programs

  • Preparationof work plans for and execution of geotechnical or environmental fieldprograms (including the collection of soil and groundwater samples)

  • Confirmingcompliance with Golder’s Health and Safety requirements for project teams

  • RepresentGolder at project team meetings, client events, and professional meetings

  • Workcollaboratively with senior members of the Golder team to interact withclients, engineering firms, developers, public agencies and contractors todevelop project opportunities

Required Skills,Qualifications, and Experience:

  • BS in Civil Engineering (willconsider environmental or geotechnical engineering degree for the rightcandidate) Master’s Degree preferred

  • 7 plus years of relevant experience

  • Demonstrated successful projectmanagement experience

  • Registered Professional Engineer –California registration preferred but not necessary

  • Broad range of civil engineeringexperience

  • Excellent communication skills,both written and verbal

Preferred Skills, andExperience:

  • Solid waste and/or miningengineering experience

  • Design and construction ofhorizontal infrastructure (e.g., roads, pipelines, water supply wells)

  • Water supply/wastewater treatmentexperience

  • Environmental assessment andremediation experience (including soil, groundwater, petroleum,chlorinated solvents)

  • Ability to engage in businessdevelopment activities in the private and public marketplace

  • Proven commitment to a strongHealth and Safety culture
