A rewarding full-time opportunity has arisen for a Hydrogeologist to join Golder Associates within the Water Services Team based in both St. Leonards, Sydney or Newcastle NSW (please stipulate preferred location).

Your responsibilities will include:
Planning, scheduling and coordination of field programs;
Field monitoring, data collation and data management;
Supervision of field drilling and well installations, single and multi-well testing and sampling activities (practical task including construction and breakdown of hydraulic packer tools, grouting etc), instrument installation etc;
Collation and interpretation of climate, geological data / maps, groundwater level and water quality data and other information to define hydrogeological systems;
Preparation of proposals, reports and deliverables for senior staff review;
Develop knowledge and understanding of hydro chemistry and its importance in defining baseline conditions and groundwater processes;
Develop conceptual models of groundwater systems; and
Provide support to the team in relation to client liaison, project management and delivery
The successful applicant will hold a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science or equivalent (Environmental Engineering with a water focus?) with post graduate and/or internship experience in Hydrogeology. Ideally the successful applicant will have some experience working as a Hydrogeologist. This position involves both office and field based work with travel being a large component. You will enjoy being part of a busy and highly skilled team and being involved in multiple projects in a variety of sectors (Infrastructure, Mining, Environment, Design etc.). Strong verbal and written communication skills are a requirement. the positions will suit those with an enthusiasm for fieldwork and willingness for ongoing site work. Previous consulting experience in a similar role will be viewed favorably. Applicants will be required to hold a valid Australian manual driver's license.
