Golder Associates is seeking a suitably experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer for their Sydney office in St. Leonards.
In this highly visible role you the focus is to deliver best practice consulting services to clients in the New South Wales region and assist in interstate and international projects; augmenting Golder’s global reach. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your industry knowledge and technical skills within a dynamic and employee-owned professional consulting company.
Key responsibilities will consistof the following:
Deliver best practice consulting services to clients, based inSydney, focusing on projects in New South Wales
Technical Leadership primarily for projects in infrastructure(rail, ports and roads), mining and power
Winning new business by showcasing our core business and technicalbench strength in the market and government
Providing support to other client sectors, such as contaminatedland, waste and oil/gas
Technical Reviewer fostering technical quality of deliverables inSydney
Manage key clients developing strategy, technical serviceofferings and significant business opportunities
Contribute to office strategy and direction as a key senior memberof staff
Leadership of project teams on consulting assignments
Project management, budgeting and quality control for consultingassignments
Embrace and lead our strong H&S culture
Participate in industry groups and/or expert panels as part ofmaintaining high industry profile
Liaise with specialists from other disciplines or offices withGolder Associates
Mentor staff and respectfully coach and nurture Golder Values to enableto reach their career growth and professional development
Participate in the national and global Golder’s TechnicalGeotechnical Community at industry fora, key tertiary student bodies and grow ouralumni.
Thesuccessful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
A broad geotechnical engineering background
Significant experience within a consultancy environment
Team management experience and/or experience in a similar role
Proven ability to manage and develop client relationships,projects and project teams
Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, motivational andconceptual thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Minimum Bachelor Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree
Possess or eligible to register for CPEng
