Golder has a new opportunity for a Administrative Assistant to join our Mining team on a full time, based in Phoenix, AZ. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated team player who will be responsible for providing administrative support in our Phoenix, Arizona office. We seek an energetic assistant who is proactive, can work independently, and who has a positive can-do attitude. This role will be a full-time position with a reduced schedule, recording an expected 25-30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and while exact hours may be flexible, they will typically include late afternoons to approximately 5 pm. There is a potential to increase to 40 hours per week in future depending on office needs.
An overview of your role will include:
Reception and answering and directing phone calls
Arranging travel and meeting logistics
Fleet and Equipment management (trucks and technical equipment)
Management of office supplies
Coordinating delivery and receipt of environmental samples for laboratory analysis.
Conducting computer-based research on various engineering, environmental, and legal topics, as directed by senior staff
Organizing office and social events
The successful candidate will have a background in:
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
Excellent communication, organizational, and multi-tasking abilities;
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify alternative solutions;
A team player with a friendly, pleasant manner;
Ability to work professionally and with confidential information;
A valid driver’s license
Willing to take on various roles and tasks within this small office;
1 to 2 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience working in a consultancy or engineering firm.
