Golder Associates Inc. is looking for a full-time Senior Hydrogeologist Geo-Mechanics Modeler to join our office in Phoenix, AZ .

Responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Deliver Technical expertise in Geo-Mechanics Modelling.

  • Work collaboratively to implement business growth strategy, develop and maintain relationships with clients, and build a practice in geo-mechanical modelling.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary project teams on local, regional and international consulting projects so they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

  • Deliver consulting services to internal and external clients.

  • Conduct complex numerical modeling studies with an emphasis in mining.

  • Support and enhance service delivery, optimizing proficiency in hydrogeology and geo-mechanics.

40 hrs/week, Mon-Fri, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. $149,350/yr.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computational Science, Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field

  • Five (5) years of related work experience.

  • Must have three (3) years of experience with:

  • Advanced numerical modeling, including geotechnical engineering, hydrogeology, and rock mechanics;

  • Managing mid-to-large scale projects;

  • Utilizing C , Fortran, Python, and MATLAB;

  • Utilizing at least three (3) of the following: modeling software FLAC3D, 3DEC/UDEC, ABAQUS, FEFLOW, MODFLOW, FRACMAN, RS2, and RS3;

  • Optimizing and analyzing finite element, finite difference, and discrete element methodologies; and

  • Constitutive model development and application in the field of hydrogeology, geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics.

  • Must have One (1) year of experience with:

  • Utilizing software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.

  • Developing, designing, and implementing quality control processes as a part of the SDLC.

  • Up to 25% travel required (15% national and 10% international)
