Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Coordinator to join our Mine Project Management Group, on a full time basis, in the Phoenix office .

Responsibilities of the role will include:

The Project Coordinator will assist the Project Managers with the following:

  • Developing and tracking progress related to work scopes, budgets, and schedules for environmental and engineering projects using project-specific spreadsheets and databases.

  • Analyzing budget information (drawdown, forecast to complete) and communicating this to Project Managers and technical leads;

  • Collecting, preparing, and tracking project documents and other deliverables;

  • Liaising with the technical teams to solicit updates and coordinate work products;

  • Working within a broader team of Project Coordinators and Managers in North America to support project delivery in Arizona and other geographic regions;

  • Coordinating logistics related to field programs, internal meetings, site visits, and client meetings, including presentation materials for meetings, and final deliverables;

*Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers, preparing subcontractor work orders, and tracking subcontractor invoicing and payment;

  • Reviewing team resourcing requirements and preparing basic work orders when international staffing requirements are necessary;

  • Liaising with Project Accounting teams with work breakdown structures and budgets, budget revisions, revenue adjustments, invoice payment and tracking;

  • Establishing and managing project collaboration sites using MS Office 365 and SharePoint;

  • Ensuring project files are kept up-to-date using the specified document control system;

  • Assisting with developing and tracking implementation of Project Health and Safety systems;

  • Interacting with clients as requested by project managers;

The successful candidate will have a background in:

* Degree in a scientific, engineering, or financial / accounting field;

  • Solid knowledge and proven working experience of MS Office Suite (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Project) as well as Adobe Acrobat software;

  • Knowledge of or ability to learn project accounting programs;

  • Excellent organizational skills (prioritizing, time management, record keeping, follow up, etc.);

  • Facility with numbers, and attention to detail and accuracy;

  • Strong team player, self-motivated, proactive, flexible and adaptable;

  • Able to meet tight deadlines, manage conflicting priorities, and work well under pressure in a rapidly changing environment;

  • Good communication skills (speaking, listening, and writing) and a friendly, pleasant manner;

  • Previous work experience within the consulting environment is an advantage;

  • 3 to 5 years of similar experience
