Golder Associates is currently seeking a District Leader for our US Mine Water and Environment Team. This position can be located in any of our Western US Mining offices, including Denver, CO, Reno, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Phoenix, AZ, Tucson, AZ or be based remotely.

The District Leader embodies Golder’s values of innovation and client success, focused on growth by providing marketing, sales and technical leadership; maintains relationships with top mining clients; and leads National Business Line (NBL) strategy and implementation into client value proposition. The District Business Leader is critical to the successful implementation of the US Mining Region’s plan, in collaboration with our Global Mining business.

Salary Range: $115,310 - $172,960

Responsibilities of the role will include:

Clients:

  • Sets clients at the center for all we do, helping them be “Future Ready” through sustainable planning and design, and prepared for emerging market disrupters

  • Brings an expanded view and integrated response to complex challenges by leveraging our full suite of offerings

  • Utilizes our Global Mining Client Program and extended reach across regions, districts, offices, and global to foster new and innovative client delivery

  • Deploys our unique expertise and perspective to create new value for clients and provides industry leadership within the district

Expertise:

  • Leverages our global technical experience to enhance current and new service offerings

  • Fosters the development of new and emerging innovations to remain the trusted thought leaders in the mining industry

  • Encourages, supports and promotes the technical and professional development of all staff within Golder

People & Culture:

  • Attracts the best industry talent by fostering a work environment that is collaborative, values inclusion and diversity and invites broad, creative

  • Strategic recruitment, promotional programs and performance management focused on the employee experience, wellness and safety

Operational Excellence:

  • Prioritize investments to enhance Golder’s ability to deliver high quality, sustainable projects for clients bringing the best tools and practices available to market

  • Optimizes the client and employee experience through regular review and implements process improvements and automation

  • Focuses on innovation and enhancing health & safety, quality and sustainable standards

  • Develops growth, forecast and business development strategy in collaboration with Region Business Line Leaders, National Business Lines, and Global Mining Partners

  • Pulls together the best teams to maximize productivity including bringing in technical expertise as applicable to best solve client challenges

Provides leadership to the Mine Water and Environment District in collaboration with leaders in including: Mine Waste, Mine Engineering and Stability, and Process & Infrastructure Design.

Required:

  • 12 years of professional experience

  • An undergraduate degree in science or engineering

  • Strong leadership, relationship management, change management and planning and organizational skills with a focus on achieving results

  • Proven industry or consulting track record of executing solutions related to site wide mine water management and environmental matters

  • Experience in the mining sector

Desired:

  • Essential License (e.g. PG or PE) as applicable

  • A graduate degree in science or engineering

  • Advanced knowledge of the mining industry and regulatory environment
