Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Denver office. This individual will provide field and office support for environmental investigations and operational water management for the mining sector.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Performing and leadingfield work and field data collection, data interpretation and evaluation, andpreparation of technical reports
Providing technicalexpertise and/or support for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations,hydrogeologic testing, geologic and hydrogeologic visualization, analytical andnumerical groundwater flow modeling, development of conceptual site models.
Project management andregulatory agency communications, with responsibilities appropriate to thelevel of experience of the individual
Proposal writing andclient interactions, depending on the needs
A strong academic background in hydrogeology, with a bachelor’s degree inenvironmental science/hydrogeology, geology, geosciences or similar field.
A minimum of 10 years’ experience; preferably in a consulting practice.
Demonstrable academic or consulting experience in hydrogeologic datacollection, groundwater sampling, hydrogeologic testing and analysis, andnumerical groundwater flow modeling.
Proven experience and success working in the mining industry, in supportof mining development and/or mine operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined withwillingness to work as part of a group.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint,MODFLOW, etc.
Willing to operate and maintain field testing and monitoring equipment,and willing to travel.
A Master’s Degree in environmental science/hydrogeology, geology,geosciences or similar field.
40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training
