Golder has a new opportunity for a Civil/Water Resources Engineer to join our Mining Team in a Full-Time position at our Tucson office. Reporting to the Group Leader.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Under the direction of intermediate and senior staff, participate in a wide range of engineering and mining projects, from conceptual water management planning to detailed design of water infrastructure.
Conduct hydrologic assessments, site-wide and tailings impoundment water balances, options assessments for water management infrastructure, hydraulic and streamflow evaluations, and design of water diversions and control structures.
Work independently and interact with colleagues and senior specialists in other mining-related disciplines.
Write proposals and reports.
Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
Experience in water resources management and assessments related to hydrology, hydraulic structures, and design
Strong spreadsheet, analytical, and computational skills
Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, mentoring, writing and people skills.
Independent and self-starting, and desire to work in a team environment
1 to 2 years of experience in consulting and the mining industry
Familiarity with mine sites and operations
Experience with the hydrologic analysis and modeling, water infrastructure design, field work
MSHA new miner and OSHA HAZWOPER training
