Golder has a new opportunity for an HRIS Analyst (Oracle) to join our Human Resources team on a Full-time basis based in Canada (Vancouver, Calgary, Mississauga or Montreal)

The Global HRIS Analyst will be joining a global HR systems team that actively implement a new global HCM platform (Oracle HCM / Taleo). The Analyst interacts with all levels of employees as they support our legacy performance and learning platforms as well as with senior members of the organization, vendors, and third-party consultants in their role supporting the continuous implementation of the global HCM platform. They will further collaborate with our Business Information Services Application Support & Maintenance Team on break/fix issues.

The HRIS Analyst is the senior analyst role within Human Resources (HR), providing both strategic and operational support to internal stakeholders, their direct reports and employees within assigned group. Working in partnership with the Global HRIS – Team Leader, the HRIS Analyst II is ensuring alignment of the business and HRIS strategies. The HRIS Analyst also, coaches and mentors’ peers and junior members of the HRIS team.

An overview of your role will include:

  • Coordinate collection and preparation of dashboards and special reports according to business needs utilizing appropriate reporting tool.

  • Manages system matters of considerable complexity as they arise.

  • Conducts investigations in the event of privacy/system breach as required .

  • Participate in System Monitoring and reporting back on system performance and ensure that user acceptance/satisfaction is regularly measured and improved, if necessary. This specific task will be in partnership will our BIS function.

  • Apply compliance and audit requirements within responsibility scope, provide documentation as necessary, and participate in compliance and audit activities as required. Participates in scoping exercises related to HCM.

  • Working with the BIS team, ensures that security within systems meets professional standards and expectations. Ensures privacy issues are mitigated.

  • Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the suite of modules in the HRIS platform in order to effectively utilize its capabilities; and perform market research and analysis for business needs, as appropriate.

  • Active participant on HRIS platform support sites, researching and networking for solutions. Supports team in development of skills/knowledge in the HRIS platform.

  • Serves as a primary contact for Human Resources Leaders on matters such as system integration, HRIS strategies, process improvement, workforce planning, communication plans and other areas where technology can be leveraged towards business success. Escalates complex matters as per the Authority Responsibilities Matrix (ARM).

  • Supports the development of the business case for HRIS initiatives and interventions aligned to a business goals and needs and supports communication to business unit team members to build buy-in.

  • Provides HRIS and change management advice/support on system changes, in conjunction with the Global HRIS–Team Lead.

  • Provide support including researching / resolving issues, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.

  • Serve as a key liaison with third parties and internal stakeholders.

  • Participate and support Human Resources initiatives / implementation of modules and application within the global HRIS tool; proactively identifies potential challenges / problems.

  • Contributes to the development, review and implementation of regional and global HR initiatives, policies and processes by participating on project teams.

  • Proactively coach more junior members of the team, and less experienced HR team members on a variety of HRIS matters.

You will have a background in:

  • Minimum 2 years experience using Oracle HCM and Taleo, including configuration of reports from these systems.

  • Previous experience in transactional Human Resources desired.

  • Strong attention to detail, time management and decision-making skills.

  • Previous technical experience in systems administration of human resource systems desired.

  • A degree or diploma in information management, business administration, human resources or a related field.

  • Proficiency in various computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, general knowledge of human resources related systems.

  • Ability to work independently, remotely and cooperatively with business and technical resources.

  • Customer service experience; demonstrated capabilities in providing a business partner service including key communication skills of influencing, negotiation and compromising.
