Golder Associates has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to support our mining division.
The successful candidate will be based in our Vancouver office and will provide project management for projects in mine closure, site remediation, engineering and potentially other earth and environment projects, as part of a thriving and growing team.
An overview of your role will include:
Opportunity to manage exciting, multi-disciplinary and multi-year projects, with considerable opportunity for career advancement.
Responsible for managing budgets, scope, schedules, and client satisfaction while working closely with professionals from Golder’s teams across Canada, and supported by trained project coordinators.
Use project management tools, methods, and best practices to plan and manage projects in a way that aligns with the expectations of stakeholders and meet business needs.
The role is client-facing, and strong interpersonal skills combined with direct communication, ethics and integrity is a must
T o be successful in this role, you will be a highly motivated self-starter and have the following qualifications:
Required: Undergraduate degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science, , Business or related discipline, with preference given to environmental and/or science background.
Required: 5 years of work experience, including three (3) years of environmental or engineering consulting or project management experience
Required: demonstrated experience with project financial tracking, and change management related to scopes of work;
Required: experience in identifying and mitigating against project risks and developing risk registers.
Required: expertise in project planning, numerical tracking and analysis (e.g., using MS Excel or similar programs)
Required: highly organized, adaptable, a developing leader, and calm under pressure
Desirable: understanding and adherence to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMI)
Desirable: experience in managing multi-discipline teams
Desirable: proven focus on the management of clients and subcontractors
Desirable: experience in the use of MS Project and/or P6 Primavera
Desirable demonstrated experience managing budgets
