Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior RemediationEngineer Specialist to join our EnvironmentalRemediation & Water team on a full-time basis based in Vancouver . This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in growing Golder’s remediation practice and expanding our services in BC. The role will interact with Golder’s global remediation team and building upon Golder’s existing services within multiple sectors including pipelines, oil and gas, mining, ports and manufacturing.

An overview of yourrole will include:

  • Conducting(or overseeing) remedial feasibility studies, cost benefit analysis andremedial options analyses, as well as preparing remediation plans

  • Whereappropriate, bringing new technologies and innovation to Golder’s practice

  • Actingin a technical manager or project engineer role as required (leading teams,mentoring and providing leadership)

  • Preparationof bid documents and subcontractor procurement and construction

  • Communicationof technical information to varied audiences (clients, staff, regulators andstakeholders)

  • Technicalsupport on litigation or allocation matters, including cost estimating

  • Projectmanagement and permitting

You will have abackground in:

  • chemical, civil or environmental engineer and/or a M.Sc. in contaminanthydrogeology or related science

  • 10or more years of experience in contaminant site management, with a focus onsite remediation specifically in areas such as groundwater remediation systems,in-situ and soil remediation, water treatment plants and risk managementcontrols.

  • Otherremediation system design experience and knowledge of new remediationtechnologies for products is also an advantage

  • Wellrounded experience in planning, design and implementation of site investigationand remediation programs

  • Experiencein a range of market sectors and site contaminant types with a focus on in situremediation technologies and site/risk management measures or controls

  • Technicalskills in conceptual site model development and biogeochemistry/modelling is aplus

  • Proventrack record in successful implementation of client driven remedial solutions

  • Previousexperience in a consulting environment establishing a client-base anddemonstrated business acumen
