Golder has a new opportunity for a Water Treatment Co-Op Student to join our Mine Water team on a 8 or 12 month work term starting immediately or in January 2022 based in Vancouver.
An overview of your role will include:
Coordinating sampling programs for cruise ships in ports in the US, Europe and Asia
Communicating with port agents, labs, and officers aboard ships in US, Europe and Asia
Coordinating, reviewing lab reports, and preparing client reports
Occasional sampling and lab testing
Assisting engineers at Golder with ongoing miscellaneous water and wastewater treatment design/study tasks
You will have a background in:
Currently registered in the Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering Degree program
Excellent written and verbal skills is essential
Exceptional orgnizational skills are required
Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment terminology and technology is desirable
Knowledge of water chemistry is an asset
Valid driver’s license is desirable
