In an increasingly urbanised and densified environment, the demand for land is rising. As greenfield sites become scarce, there is a need to rehabilitate or repurpose existing or derelict sites for new uses.
Our specialist Remediation team provides advice in the design and implementation of solutions that minimise cost and liabilities while improving environmental conditions.
As we're seeing a growth in our combined WSP-Golder pipeline and following two major contract wins in the Oil and Gas sector, several new opportunities have been created for mid-level and senior Environmental Scientists/ Consultants/ Engineers to join us.
The location for this role is flexible between Melbourne, regional VIC and/or home office .
You will play a key role in delivering stimulating advisory Contaminated Site Remediation projects, including environmental due diligence, portfolio assessment and advisory, risk assessment and mitigation, and remediation planning and implementation.
As an Environmental Scientist , you will:
Evaluate environmental field works including assessment of samples of soil, groundwater, soil vapour, ambient air, landfill gas, sediment and surface water data
Supervise contractors on remediation sites and ensure safe, compliant and quality field work
Scope projects and build relationships with your clients
Prepare advisory reports with support from Senior and Principal staff, including technical specialists and an EPA Accredited Site Auditor
As a Senior Environmental Scientist , you will play a significant role in work winning initiatives and review site investigation, remediation reports (e.g. RAPs) and proposed remediation measures produced by the team. You will also guide junior staff through the selection, design, installation and evaluation of remediation solutions and foster strong client relationships.

We specifically seek individuals with:
Tertiary qualifications in environmental science/ engineering, chemistry, biology, geology or related
Knowledge of soil contaminants and remediation strategies
Broad knowledge of contaminated land site sampling technique, investigation methodologies and remediation technologies for groundwater, soil and gas
An understanding of the obligations associated with the role of Principal Contractor under WHS Regulations
Understanding of QLD regulations pertaining to the management of contaminated sites (Senior Consultant)
Experience in delivering substantial projects (Senior Consultant)
A desire to mentor and train junior staff and grow local business (Senior Consultant)
A current Australian Driver’s License
