The Talent Acquisition Specialist, is a member of the Global Talent Acquisition team and Regional HR team. This is a first level specialist role and will be involved in a variety of aspects throughout the Talent Acquisitions process. This role is responsible for providing recruitment support to group leaders and candidates within the Region, ensuring compliance with and understanding of internal policies and external legislation while fostering positive working in partnership with Stakeholders and HR to delivery resourcing needs. This position reports to the Global Talent Acquisition Leader or Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist USA.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Working with the business to understand hiring requirements and position specifications

  • Responsible for high volume recruitment needs across various business sectors and disciplines within the USA

  • Preparing position descriptions, drafting and preparing advertisements for vacant positions and ensuring information is accurately entered into Taleo the applicant tracking system, including adherence to US federal contractor recruitment processes

  • Create an ongoing and proactive candidate pipeline through various methods including direct sourcing of passive candidates, referrals and strategically partnering with Hiring Managers to build Talent Pools

  • Utilize Social recruiting as part of the sourcing strategy inclusive of Linked-In and other social media platforms

  • Prepare relevant interview and key criteria selection documentation, ensuring accurate screening of applicants and relevant interview techniques are used

  • Ensure candidates are pre-screened and interviewed prior to providing candidate shortlists to Hiring Managers

  • Coordinating interview panels

  • Maintaining candidates compliantly using the applicant tracking system (Taleo), including mandatory adherence to US federal contractor recruitment requirements (OFCCP)

  • Undertaking reference checks

  • Providing relevant and accurate reporting of recruitment activity and metrics

  • Working with and providing support to other members of the team as required

  • Collaborating and knowledge sharing with the Global Talent Acquisition Team

Qualifications & essential experience required

  • University Degree in Business focusing on HR, IR or related specialty

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Talent Sourcer or Junior Recruiter. Working towards professional designation is desirable.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision and proven ability to act at both the strategic and tactical levels in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationships and work effectively with various levels of employees

  • A strong work ethic and high levels of initiative, enthusiasm and reliability Strong time management and organizational skills must be able to manage high pressure whilst achieving quality business outcomes

  • Excellent communication skills for face-to-face, telephone and written communication

  • Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and core office programs, Microsoft Excel, including reporting capabilities

Preferred:

  • Taleo and Oracle systems experience

  • Experience working in the engineering/science industry

  • OFCCP and AAP
