We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Project Engineer with solid fieldwork experience to join our Design team based in the Perth office. You will be involved in a technically challenging project working alongside leading industry experts to mentor and guide you. This role will suit you if you have a particular interest in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects, conducting and supervising field work.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Provide engineering services with respect tomine waste management and task management with input from senior staff.
Undertake site activities includingconstruction supervision, construction quality assurance and fieldinvestigations.
Conduct general field and office assignmentsunder supervision
Coordinate client-contractor requests
Prepare and deliver technical reports on timewith review from senior staff
Work with other professionals in project teams
Support the preparation of project specificconstruction plans and construction programmes.
Lead by example and direct site activities inline with Golder, clients and Government Health, Safety and Environmentrequirements.
Maintain record of site activities in linewith Golder quality policies and procedures with focus on QualityAssurance and Quality Control.
Monitor changes to designs, assessing effectson cost and measuring, valuing and negotiating variations to designs.
Communicate progress of site activities tosenior engineers and project managers
You will fly to and from site on charteredjets from Perth. This role entails a 10 hour day shift on a 5days on, 2 days off (5/2) roster.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
QualifiedCivil Engineer who holds a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering orequivalent.
Youwill be able to demonstrate your strong project management skills in asimilar role and have experience working on medium and large civilinfrastructure construction sites
Havingexperience involved in QA/QC on earthworks and liner installation would behighly regarded
Itis expected that you will have strong written and verbal communicationskills, good interpersonal skills and an enthusiasm for fieldwork.
Previousconsulting experience will be favourable.
