Golder has a new opportunity for a mid-level Environmental Consultant with a background in Biological Sciences to join our Contaminated Sites group on full time basis based in our Perth office. You will be working within this dynamic team involved in a range of risk assessment and contaminated land projects and have access to leading industry experts to mentor and guide you in your professional development
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Performing detailed humanhealth risk assessments related to exposure to soil, surface water, groundwaterand air for a range of chemical, biological and radiological hazards;
Performing ecological riskassessment for contaminated sites;
Conducting otherenvironmental assessments and planning including baseline environmentalinvestigations, preliminary site investigations, detailed site investigationsas necessary;
Undertaking interpretationof field, laboratory and toxicological data;
Planning and managing soilvapour and air quality investigations, if required;
Liaising with specialistsfrom other disciplines of offices within Golder Associates;
Deliver on overallmanagement of tasks including planning, scheduling, resourcing, reporting andcost/scope tracking to ensure deliverables are provided on time and withinbudgets; and
Preparation of variousdeliverables including proposals, tenders, and high-quality reports.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Qualifiedwith a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biological Sciences or equivalent
Youwill have several years’ experience in a similar role and knowledge ofapplicable Australian guidelines and standards for contaminated sites andrisk assessment in Australia
youwill have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the abilityto liaise with a diverse group of people
Previousconsulting experience will be highly regarded
