Golder has a new opportunity for an Onsite IT Support Technician who will be joining our BIS Team on a 12 month fixed term full-time contract with a view to extend beyond. You will be involved in the deliver of IT support services within our Perth office .
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Image new & used computers and migrate user if required
Workwith our procurement officer to manage IT consumable stock for specific offices
Provide hands on supportwithin the office for the Golder Helpdesk & offshore IT support teams
Investigate, diagnose and resolve IT hardware and desktopsoftware incidents that can’t be addressed remotely
Educate staff how to use our IT support services. Demonstrate how to log their own IT supportrequests using the ServiceNow self-service portal.
If requested to provide IT support for an incident thatcan be actioned remotely, inform requestee of our IT support model and referthem to the helpdesk or the appropriate offshore technical team.
Log all IT support requests in ServiceNow incidentmanagement system.
Provide guidance to staff how to get the most out of ouroffice productivity applications; Office 365, SharePoint project sites,OneDrive for business, Skype for business, Outlook, SCCM software centre
Keep stakeholders informed of incidents & manage theirexpectations.
Coordinate access to IT equipment racks when third-partytechnicians visit site.
Assist with the IT induction of new staff
Understanding of AV Systems and the provision of guidance howto use meeting room AV equipment
Keep the office informed of up-coming IT activities. Act as a voice for the BIS team in youroffice
Management of IT Assets and Documented disposal of Assetsat the end of their life
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in an informationtechnology preferred
Appropriate technical certifications.Microsoft desktop support specialist or MicrosoftMCSA in Windows 7 or 10 or Office 365 or Windows server.
3 years desktop/onsite technicalsupport experience for corporate user bases of 100 staff
Able to work well under pressure, prioritisesupport requests & work autonomously
Good knowledge of Windows client operatingsystems, Windows 7 & Windows 10.
Experience supporting Office 365applications
Strong customer service focus withgood communication and listening skill
Excellent problem-solving skills
Mustbe an Australian Citizen or Permanent resident holder to apply
