Golder has a new opportunity for a Principal Civil/Environmental Engineer to lead our Western Australian Landfill Design team based in our Perth Office . You will be part of, and supported by a team of landfill design professionals across the Asia Pacific Region. The team is involved in a variety of technically challenging projects and has leading industry experts globally to collaboratively deliver strong technical solutions for our clients. Golder Associates focuses on civil design aspects of landfills, waste management, contaminated site remediation and other related civil engineering fields.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Lead and grow our waste/design team to effectively deliver multi-disciplinary projects for an array of local, national and international clients;
Lead waste, landfill, containment and civil design projects. Contributing to other multidisciplinary engineering projects throughout Western Australia and interstate;
Provide technical expertise and support to our wide range of clients, in line with our long-standing reputation for technical excellence.
Manage projects, plan, develop schedules, lead, co-ordinate and direct to meet completion deadlines;
Prepare and manage the delivery of technical reports and proposals
Be effective in managing existing and develop client relationships and expectations;
Supervise, co-ordinate and review activities carried out by career professionals;
Mentor junior and intermediate members of the team.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
A track record and reputation, of achievement within a similar position with a focus on landfills, site remediation, and waste management or related industry
Broad skills across a range of civil design and engineering areas, particularly in geosynthetic design and geo-environmental engineering.
Ability to plan, execute, document and manage design projects
Manage design risk, experience in safety in design and effectively communicate these to the business and clients
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Possess the ability to foster and enhance business opportunities
Solid client relationship skills
Prior working experience within a consulting environment
Project management skills
Chartered Engineering registration or demonstrated progress towards achieving the same;
Client interfacing, with the ability to champion the Golder value proposition to business.
