Golder has a new opportunity for a Senior Environmental Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis based in Perth . This role will have a focus on oil & gas, mining and contaminated land projects. Priorities will change according to business requirements, however, it is an expectation of that the candidate will also:
Key duties and responsibilities include:
Manage clients' projects including project scoping, budget control, planning, development of schedules and coordination of resources;
Develop and maintain client relationships;
Conduct contaminated sites investigations and remediation programs;
Lead project focused teams in delivery of a range of contaminated sites projects;
Manage environmental due diligence and compliance reviews;
Plan, design and implement remediation programs;
Collaborate on projects with other disciplines;
Prepare technical deliverables and proposals;
Understand and interpret the national and local market, highlighting prospects and stewarding them to opportunities and proposals; and
Mentor and coach more junior staff with respect to their career growth and technical professional development.
Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related discipline;
Registered Chartered or Certified Professional, or a willingness to work towards chartered or certified status and a member of a related professional body preferable;
Experience in oil & gas and/or mining industries, in particular on contaminated land projects;
Proficient project management skills including budgeting and scheduling activities;
Demonstrated experience in environmental consulting;
Extensive field and site experience with strong health and safety focus;
High level of verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills;
Advanced analytical and problem solving skills; and
Good understanding and application of contaminated sites investigation methods and legislation
