Golder Associates Environmental Engineer in WESTBOROUGH, Massachusetts

Golder has a new opportunity for a Project Environmental Engineer to join our New England Operations team in a Full-Time position in Manchester, NH or Westborough, MA .

In this role you will participate in environmental projects that involve field investigations, subcontractor oversight, technical document preparation, task and project management, and working as a team with coworkers.

Yourprimary responsibilities will include:

  • Leadingfield teams to complete subsurface site investigations involving drilling, soilclassification, rock coring and logging, well installation, pumping tests, etc.

  • Completegroundwater, surface water, soil, sediment and air sampling

  • Preparegeologic boring logs, cross-sections, groundwater contour maps andiso-concentration maps

  • Workon the operation, maintenance and monitoring of remedial systems

  • Completeinvestigation-derived data tabulation and evaluation

  • Draftregulatory report reports

  • Prepareproposals, including scope, schedule, and budget

  • CompletePhase I environmental site assessments

  • Mentorjunior staff and oversee preparation of their reports and calculations

Required:

  • Bachelor’sof Science in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field

  • Threeor more years of experience in the environmental field

  • Abilityfor extended local, national, and/or international overnight travel andfieldwork, based on project demands. Field work may include travel to remotelocations and outside work in various climates and terrains

  • Excellentverbal and strong writing and organizational skills combined with leadershipability, a positive attitude, and ability to work both independently and withingroups

  • Abilityto routinely write letters and draft regulatory reports with limited assistancefrom senior professionals

  • Abilityto independently tabulate, evaluate, and draw conclusions from assessment datagenerated from field investigations and Phase I environmental site assessments

  • Abilityto organize and coordinate field investigations

  • Strongcomputer skills including use of Word and Excel to create letters, reports andtables

  • Qualifiedcandidates will have project and client management experience in subsurfacesite characterization, analytical data evaluation, remediation planning,environmental regulations, writing reports and small proposals, and performanceof Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.

Preferred:

  • EITcertification or a PE license

  • Master’sof Science in Environmental Engineering or a closely related field

  • Completed40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER health and safety training, with 8-hour refresherupdates, as applicable

  • NewHampshire, Massachusetts and/or Connecticut regulatory experience

  • Remedialsystem operation and maintenance experience
