Golder has a new opportunity for a Junior Environmental Field Technician to join our Water team on a contractual basis based in Yellowknife .
An overview of your role will include:
Undertaking training for field and office work activities
Carrying out field work (i.e., terrestrial and aquatics sampling, assist other field programs, general environmental data collection) or office assignments under the direction of experienced scientists and technicians
Occasionally performing physically arduous tasks and working up to 12-hour days outdoors
Maintaining field notes while completing field work and using field equipment to measure environmental indicators
Preparing and coordinating project documentation and equipment for field programs
Filing and managing all project related field notes, including data entry and assistance with report preparation
Preparing and adhering to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to you, Golder’s clients, employees, and the public
Performing field and office work tasks as requested efficiently and accurately while adhering to written instructions and regulatory requirements

The following attributes and experience are useful, but not a requirement for this role:
Post-secondary diploma in Environmental Sciences
Previous experience with environmental field data collection
Eligibility for professional certification
