Golder has a new opportunity for a Junior WaterResources Engineer to join our Water team on a full-time basis based in Yellowknife. The water group provides a variety of engineering and environmental water services to many high-profile projects in the Northwest Territories, Prairie Provinces, and throughout the world.

An overview of yourrole will include:

  • Executefield data collection programs

  • Developand apply hydrological and hydraulic models

  • Performhydraulic and civil analysis, design and assessment related to riverengineering, flood assessments, erosion control, surface water diversions,hydraulic structures, water intakes, pump stations, pipelines, water controlstructures, and mine water infrastructure

  • Conceptual,preliminary and detailed engineering for water resources projects

  • Contributeto technical reports and proposals

  • Participatein multi-disciplinary environmental field programs and assessments

You will have abackground in:

  • Bacheloror Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (with experience or focus on waterresources, dams, hydraulic structures, river engineering or water management)

  • Mustbe eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training with NAPEG

  • Experiencewith field data collection and analysis, modeling and design would be an asset

  • Goodcommunication, leadership, problem solving, mentoring, writing, and peopleskills

  • Exhibita strong work ethic and high degree of motivation

  • Stronginterpersonal communication skills

  • Teamplayer with the ability to motivate and lead by example

  • Experiencewith writing technical reports

  • Committedto technical excellence
