Golder has a new opportunity for a Junior WaterResources Engineer to join our Water team on a full-time basis based in Yellowknife. The water group provides a variety of engineering and environmental water services to many high-profile projects in the Northwest Territories, Prairie Provinces, and throughout the world.
An overview of yourrole will include:
Executefield data collection programs
Developand apply hydrological and hydraulic models
Performhydraulic and civil analysis, design and assessment related to riverengineering, flood assessments, erosion control, surface water diversions,hydraulic structures, water intakes, pump stations, pipelines, water controlstructures, and mine water infrastructure
Conceptual,preliminary and detailed engineering for water resources projects
Contributeto technical reports and proposals
Participatein multi-disciplinary environmental field programs and assessments
You will have abackground in:
Bacheloror Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering (with experience or focus on waterresources, dams, hydraulic structures, river engineering or water management)
Mustbe eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training with NAPEG
Experiencewith field data collection and analysis, modeling and design would be an asset
Goodcommunication, leadership, problem solving, mentoring, writing, and peopleskills
Exhibita strong work ethic and high degree of motivation
Stronginterpersonal communication skills
Teamplayer with the ability to motivate and lead by example
Experiencewith writing technical reports
